　　After the church service a little boy told the pastor, "When I grow up, I'm going to give you some money."

　　禮拜后男孩問牧師：“我長大后會給你一些錢。”

　　"Well, thank you," the pastor replied, "but why?"

　　“好啊，謝謝你�！蹦翈熁卮鸬溃骸安贿^為什么?”

　　"Because my daddy says you're one of the poorest preachers we've ever had."

　　Two

　　Setting the Table

　　擺桌子

　　Little Susan was mother's helper. She helped set the table when guests were due for dinner. Presently everything was on, the guest came in, and everyone sat down. Then Mother noticed something was missing.

　　小蘇珊是媽媽的好幫手。她在有客人來家里就餐時幫忙擺桌子�，F(xiàn)在一切準(zhǔn)備就緒，客人走進(jìn)，所有人都坐好了。媽媽突然發(fā)現(xiàn)缺了什么。

　　"Susan," she said, "You didn't put a knife and fork at Mr. Smith's place."

　　“蘇珊�！彼�說道：“你忘了在史密斯先生那里放刀叉了。”

　　"I thought he wouldn't need them," explained Susan.

　　“我以為他不需要那些。”蘇珊解釋道。

　　"Daddy says he always eats like a horse!"

　　“爸爸說他總是吃得像馬一樣!”
