When people are looking for work, especially if they are between jobs, it's not uncommon to have a crisis of confidence in interviews. As an interviewer, it's pretty easy to spot someone who is experiencing this. They tend to do one of two things:   在人們找工作或是換工作時，他們在面試時總是會面臨自信危機。作為一個面試者，我能很輕易地識別出哪位求職者正在面臨這樣的危機。他們傾向于表現出以下兩種姿態(tài)：   Act overly confident and boastful, hoping to appear too good to be true.   表現得過分自信和自負，以期自己看起來好得難以置信。   Act extremely humble and too nice, hoping to appear very grateful for the opportunity.   表現得過分謙虛和友善，以期自己看起來對獲得這次機會深為感激。   Both approaches can cost the job.   這兩種表現都有可能使你的新工作泡湯。   Balance of Confidence & Humility   在自信和謙虛中尋找平衡   The secret to being likable in interviews is to find that fine balance of confidence and humility. There is a simple two-step process you can use when answering interview questions to help with that.   被面試官一眼相中的秘訣在于在面試中回答問題時，找到自信與謙虛之間的平衡。以下兩個簡單的步驟將告訴你如何做到這一點。   1) Always talk about yourself using quantifiable accomplishments. Back-up every statement you make about your abilities with facts and statistics to validate what you are saying.   1)在自我展示時盡量使用可量化的成就。用事實和數據來支撐你關于自己能力的敘述。   2) Make it clear that while you are proud of these accomplishments, you did not achieve them alone. Give credit to those who helped you achieve those accomplishments as a way to prove you understand there is no "i" in "team."   2）接下來向面試官傳達這樣的信號：雖然你為自己的成就感到驕傲，但是你深知這是團隊合作的結果。并且贊美那些幫助你獲得以上成就的人，以證明你深知在團隊中“我”其實沒有那么重要的道理。   You Are Not Special, But You Are Unique   記住你并不特別，但是你是獨一無二的   In interviews, your goal is to show the employer how you're unique from other candidates. Specifically, how that uniqueness will provide the greatest return on their investment. It is not your goal to appear special - none of us are.
